CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – Full-time

Description: This position is responsible to act as the company’s first-line representative to all external and internal customers. This role provides distribution support and services to all staff, clients and reviewers including incoming and outgoing correspondence in a timely manner. Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum six months’ experience working in a customer service, product logistics and/or clerical environment; preference for experience within a health care and/or managed care organization

CASE ASSIGNMENT ANALYST – Full-time

Description: This position is responsible for initiating the case review process, preparing a high quality, complete packet of appropriate case review information and materials for submission to the panel reviewers and assigning the file to the appropriate specialist for review as well as serving as the company liaison with clients, reviewers and practitioners/providers.

Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or health care

Experience: Minimum one year’s experience in a similar operation (health care, managed care environment or utilization management)

Description: This position is responsible for finalizing the case review process, issuing review outcome notifications to appropriate parties of the case, and serving as a company liaison with clients, reviewers and practitioners/providers/facilities whose services are subject to review.

ASSOCIATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR – Full-time

This position is for the physician who is interested in being part of one of the finest Peer Review Organizations in the country and who is seeking a stimulating, rewarding career opportunity.

Description: The Associate Medical Director is responsible to provide clinical direction, guidance and support to the management team, staff and the over 500 actively practicing, independent contracting Physician reviewers on our panel. Our reviewers evaluate numerous medical issues for our clientele including questions of medical necessity, whether proposed treatment is experimental/ investigational, eligibility for coverage and many other issues related to appropriateness of care.

In this role, the Associate Medical Director will oversee the clinical aspects of the review process and support case reviews, including but not limited to:
  • Support the Reviewer selection and assignment process
  • Resolve operational issues arising in connection with the clinical aspects of review cases
  • Communicate with assigned Reviewers and with treating/ordering practitioners/providers
  • Evaluate the clinical aspects of a review case, including assessment of non-physician Reviewers’ non-certification determinations and development of appropriate review outcome notifications
  • Advise and provide guidance to Reviewers on the medical aspects of review cases in all categories and provide them with information pertinent to their assigned cases and related review processes
  • Perform case reviews as needed
Additionally, this position will supervise the quality of reviews from physicians for accuracy in ICD-9-CM and CPT coding. When necessary, this position will facilitate a second review for training purposes and evaluate the reviewing physicians’ logic in their analysis of cases.

Education requirement: MD degree with a current, unrestricted medical license and Board certification.

Experience: Minimum of five years’ clinical practice experience with a preference for a minimum of five years’ experience administering utilization management and peer review programs preferred

Registered Nurse: Clinical Quality Auditor – Full-time

This position is for the registered nurse who is interested in applying his/her clinical knowledge to the quality assurance audit process and thereby continuing a long tradition of exemplary quality for one of the premier Peer Review Organizations in the country.

Description: This position is responsible for auditing the case reviews and providing clinical support to the management team, staff and independently contracted reviewers. Our reviewers evaluate numerous medical issues for our clientele including questions of medical necessity, whether proposed treatment is experimental/ investigational, eligibility for coverage and many other issues related to appropriateness of care.

Education requirement: Registered Nurse with a current unrestricted license; B.S.N or B.S. in Health Care Administration preferred

Experience: Minimum five year’s active practice in a clinical setting with a preference for a broad scope of practice; minimum of one year in a managed health care environment, utilization management and/or quality improvement strongly preferred; coding experience is beneficial but not required.

Director of Regulatory Compliance – Full-time

The position is responsible for oversight of the regulatory compliance program and serves as the company’s Compliance Officer. This individual is responsible for all corporate wide compliance activities as well as to ensure ongoing and timely compliance with applicable regulations and accrediting bodies. Description: This individual will serve as the resource and offer guidance and support in the area of regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements to all clients and all employees throughout the company. This position is responsible to handle all accreditation and regulatory filings, applications, reports and oversees all legal concerns. This position provides compliance training to the staff and contracted review panel and oversees the corporate policies and procedures. This individual is responsible to identify and track regulatory requirements, track applicable laws and regulations, as well as remain current about all pending healthcare legislation and trends in the peer review industry.

Education requirement: B.S. in a related field preferred

Experience: Minimum one to two years’ experience preferred in:
  • Corporate compliance activities in the area of utilization management or related healthcare environment
  • Regulatory and accrediting body applications and submissions
  • Health insurance and/or managed care arenas
  • Managerial responsibilities
